"It was extremely fulfilling to honor Stuyvesant HS Principal Eric Contreras at Khan's Annual Awards. Hearing about Principal Contreras childhood stories from Jamaica, Queens was very special for the entire audience who could relate to his stories as an immigrant child who loved reading at the local library. When all of our SHSAT students & families had a chance to meet him personally on stage, the kids were especially excited to meet such a friendly Principal from Stuyvesant HS. Finally, I was thrilled to see so many KT 11th graders with high SAT scores & so many 12th graders headed to special colleges like Columbia University, NYU & even Harvard. Overall, all of our high school students were excited to hear from Congresswoman & DNC Vice Chair Grace Meng who has led the fight to protect immigrants communities in Washington, DC & all across the United States," said Dr. Ivan Khan, CEO & President of Khan’s Tutorial.
