Dr. Ivan Khan spoke on a panel entitled “Conversations with Men” lead by former Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, UN Under-Secretary-General to discuss gender-balanced leadership. Dr. Khan spoke about how Khan’s Tutorial and Khan Foundation provides educational opportunities that propel young students into careers in competitive industries.
“While we gather to discuss opportunities that women in the workforce can seize to empower themselves across several levels, our work at Khan Foundation focuses on young women in high school. After completing two cohorts of our 6 month College Access Program, we look forward to next summer when we hope to recruit dynamic young women from low income backgrounds to participate in our Leadership, Education & Internship Program where they will spend 6 weeks at a local internship in their community, as they simultaneously take leadership classes at our Foundation.”

“The academic success of our students over the past 21 years with 10 locations and over 2,600 unique students served every week leaves us as the largest leading tutorial in the community providing high quality education,” said KT chairperson Mrs. Nayeema Khan.
For the past 21 years, Khan’s Tutorial’s vision has been to provide quality education at affordable costs. With 10 locations in the outer boroughs of New York City, including Brooklyn, Castle Hill, Parkchester, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Sutphin, Richmond Hill, Astoria, Ozone Park, and Floral Park, Khan’s Tutorial primarily serves in assisting families in low-income neighborhoods and new immigrant communities.
